About EnCaT

Hello, my name is Sheila Baird and I have been providing training and consultancy to catering and retail businesses in Argyll and Bute and the West Coast of Scotland for 20 years.

I am an experienced Environmental Health Officer and  worked in enforcement with local authorities for 12 years before leaving to set up EnCaT in 2001.

I have also worked alongside my husband, Bruce in successful licensed hotel and restaurant businesses so have lots of experience working from both sides which means I can bring a very practical and informed slant to the courses I offer.

EnCaT offers open courses where anyone can book available spaces and these are run in the main centres of population throughout Argyll. I can also offer bespoke training for businesses wishing to train staff together at their own venue where the training is tailored to reflect the systems in place on site. To help those in very remote areas access courses there are also e-learning options for some of the courses.
